The Creator - Nomad + Design Sketches

Back in 2020 I had the pleasure to work on the NOMAD design with Gareth Edwards and James Clyne. Was a lot of back and forth since it was the main prop for the film.
The scale of the design was around 50miles wide, and so i tried to think about how people could move through it in a reasonable amount of time, how we could leverage the massive scale of the design.
The weapons area from below I wanted to feel like a beak with a bird's eye (if you see an under shot)

Everything was modeled in 3ds max. Unfortunately I didn't have time to do any super awesome renders, but that's what the movie is for.

I wanted this area to have some nice internal compositions

Early exploration for the shuttle, which they decided to take into a different direction, this one features a removable cargo section (in white)

I only one day for a quick exploration of a docking area for the NOMAD

We did some early explorations of Driod ideas which James and Gareth had, spent very little time on these as they wanted just find out if that was a direction they wanted to explore.

While I'm beyond terrified of spiders I pictured it folded having these sort of tubes representing venom sacks on the left.
